E8400 & E3110
Today two new cpus dropped in to my mailbox, it is one E8400 and one Xeon E3110. Im really excited to test
yet another new cpu, and see how it performs. and im glad that i did get my hands on this sample, because from what i have
heard there isnt going to be that many 45nm Xeon cpus on the market, and that is to bad.
The E3110 isnt mine, i bought it for a friend, but i have asked him if i could test it out a little and that was
no problem.
however the E8400 is mine and i think i have gotten my hands on a golden sample, cant wait to see how golden it is.
Will update with a few results during the day.
I have now tested the first cpu, and i choose to start with the E3110, i have to say this is really a golden ex, i stopped at FSB 590, and the only
reason i did that was because the guy who owns the cpu wanted me to wait so that he could be there when we break FSB 600 with xeon. im pretty sure
i can get it running in higher clocks if i really push it, with more Voltage and some tweaking, but again i want to wait for my friend. i really
hope that he wants to run this under some subzero so that we really can test MAX FSB,
Its about time i update with some E8400 results, i ran my E8400 a couple of days ago, but because i have had so many things to do the previous week
i havent gotten around to make this update. you can find all my E8400 results in the forum thread. Anyway i tried some FSB and high OC on air,i think
i can get it higher with more voltage. the voltage used for cpu clock is 1.55V.
